These two Polycom SoundStation 2 conference phone systems have been specifically designed for use on two popular business telephone systems. One is designed to work on the Avaya phone system (connects to a Definity voice port that supports the 6400, 7400 or 400 series phones but excludes the Callmaster series), and the other is designed for use on the Nortel Meridian telephone system.
Conference meetings have a huge advantage over the traditional face to face meeting. Travel expenses and hotel costs are cut and meetings can be held whenever, wherever, also making it a more convenient method too.
Avaya & Meridian Compatible
Both Polycom SoundStation 2 conference systems have been specifically configured to work on the Avaya or BT Meridian system. They are therefore able to cope with each phone systems unique settings.
Advanced Polycom Technology
Like the rest of the Polycom SoundStation 2 conference phone series, these system specific SoundStation 2 units feature Polycom’s patented Acoustic Clarity Technology. This ensures conversations always sound natural and clear, and with fully duplex capability all conference participants can speak at the same time and be heard.
Dynamic Noise Reduction (DNR) allows the microphones to operate at full sensitivity and to pick up everything that is said, but at the same time canceling unwanted background noise.
Powerful Built In Microphones
The Polycom Soundstation 2W conference phone has a 360-degree room coverage, and through its intelligent mixing technology only the microphone nearest to the person speaking is activated. This makes sound interference from other microphones non existent.
There is normally a 10 foot pick up range by the Polycom SoundStation 2 conference phone systems microphones. However as the Avaya and Meridian conference phones are expandable this range can be extended by adding the optional extra microphones. The normal recommended number of participants for the non expandable system is ten, this can be then increased to twenty.
Easy To Navigate Menu
The stylish Polycom SoundStation 2 conference phone has a large LCD display that supports caller display and shows important call and set-up information. The Meridian / Avaya SoundStation 2 has simple to use features such as volume adjust, mute, 25 number phone book, and speed dials. Navigation through all these features and more is both quick and simple.
