The Brother MFC-8220 fax machine is just the same as an analogue telephone like you would have at home. This means that it will connect to a standard BT telephone line or any other analogue line you may have.
Also if you want to connect the Brother MFC-8220 into a telephone system it will connect as long as it is to an analogue extension. It will not work on an extension designed for a specific type of system telephone.
Brother Fax Consumable
As the Brother MFC-8220 is a laser fax machine it needs a toner and a drum as consumables. Theses are as follows:
Brother Toner TN3030 – Up to 3500 Pages
Brother Toner TN3060 – Up to 6700 Pages
Brother Drum DR3000 – Approx 20000 Pages
