Laser Printers
Laser printers print by delivering tiny particles of carbon which are subsequently sealed onto the paper by heat, hence why the paper is warm when you first pick it up.
Variable DPI
Advertisers frequently highlight how many dots per inch a particular printer delivers. The logic being that the greater number of dots that can be printed on to a piece of paper, the greater the image quality.
In reality, a laser printer delivering a mere 600 dots per inch (dpi) may actually deliver better prints than one with 2,400 dpi. This is because there are other factors to consider such as the software, the paper handling mechanics and ink & toner quality.
Standard USB Connection
Most laser printers connect to your computer via a USB port, although some still use a parallel port. Check whether the cables come with the printer or whether you need to buy them seperately. Remember also to check which operating system the printer requires.
