A new model cordless phone that Panasonic look to be introducing is the Panasonic KX-TG6591 cordless phone. Not a lot is known about the full specification of this model but it does look like the Panasonic KX-TG6591 cordless will be targeted for the elderly.

If the Panasonic KX-TG6591 cordless phone is for the elderly we expect it to be useful for anyone that is hard of hearing. This may mean than the phone will have amplification but this is to be confirmed.
Another problem for the elderly is pressing small buttons so we also expect the Panasonic KX-TG6591 cordless phone to have larger than normal buttons. This would be very useful for anyone with dexterity problems.
