The BT Elements telephone is a digital cordless telephone that is also rugged up to a standard of IP54. Designed to plug into a standard BT telephone line or analogue extension on a telephone system the BT Elements DECT is a fantastic hard wearing telephone for the office or even the home.
BT Elements DECT
As the BT Elements cordless telephone is a DECT phone the signal between the handset and the base station is digital not analogue. This means that the BT Elements has fantastic clarity and range as well as increased security.
Rugged Cordless BT DECT
With a weatherproof standard of IP54 the BT Elements DECT has the ability to work in harsher conditions than a normal DECT can. The rating IP54 means that the BT Elements is protected against dust and is also splash proof as well.
The BT Elements cordless telephone has a 50 name and number directory which is easy to navigate on the LCD screen. As the Elements DECT phone is rugged it may be used in outside areas that are sometimes dimply lit so there is a torch built in as well. If you need more than one handset working off the same phone the BT Elements can have up to 5 handsets working in total.
Good Cordless Range
The BT Elements does advertise a range of 1km outdoors and 150m indoors but the distances manufacturers advertise are not often met. On average we expect around 100-150m range dependent on surroundings, which is still better than most other DECT telephones which get around 50-60m.
