The BT Caller Display 1000 is a unit that will plug into a standard telephone line and then show information about the incoming call on its LCD screen. The caller display service has to be activated on the telephone line to work otherwise the information the BT Caller Display 1000 needs to work will not be sent down the line.
Caller Display Records
Apart from just showing the incoming telephone number the BT Caller Display 1000 will actually record the information of the last 40 callers. After the 40 records are full the unit will then delete the oldest record and add the new callers details to the list.
Call Back Feature
So you don’t have to input the telephone number in full the BT Caller Display 1000 will actually allow you to dial telephone numbers in your calls list. You just lift your telephones handset and let the caller display unit dial the number for you.
Time & Date Stamp
The BT Caller Display 1000 as soon as it receives its first call will set the time and date automatically. It needs to have the BT caller display service on the line to do this and then each call will have a record of when it was.
At the bottom of the display is an area where the unit will display other possible information about the call. These are things such as whether the call is from a payphone, an international number, or whether it has been withheld.
