Flexible Hands-Free Headset

Corded headsets offer a wired connection to an amplifier or a telephone. Most corded headsets are compatible with a wide variety of office and PABX telephone systems and also with single and multi-line telephones. Corded headsets can also plug into a separate headset amplifier unit, which connects the telephone to the headset.

Some telephones have an in-built headset amplifier, which obviously means that there is no need for a separate amplifier. In this case the corded headset can be directly connected to the telephone through a dedicated headset port.

Variety of Functions & Features

Later corded headsets offer advanced features like noise cancelling microphones, over the ear & over the head wearing styles and acoustic controls such as adjustments to bass, treble and volume levels.

The main advantage of corded headsets is that they offer minimal interference. They can also cost less than wireless headsets but with the disadvantage of less movement flexibility.
