Secure & Static Headset

The 'Over the Head' style is usually adopted for heavier headsets. Wearing this headset over the ear ensures they don't slip or fall. These headsets have a band that goes over the head to provide greater stability to the speakers. This is usually adjustable, or at the very least flexible, to allow users of all sizes to wear the headset with comfort.

Monaural Speaker Sound

There are two styles available in over the head design - monaural and binaural. Monaural headsets are cheaper as they only provide mono sound instead of stereo through its single speaker. These types of headsets are common in office environment.

The mono sound produced is often transmitted to a single speaker over one ear. With one ear uncovered the user is able to not only hear people on the phone, but also those people around them in the office or home. It is therefore a much more preferred headset for those constantly engaging with people on the phone and in their immediate vicinity, such as receptionists and call centre workers.
