Phone Compatibility
The first consideration when establishing phone compatibility is whether the phone extension is analogue or digital.
For digital extensions on phone systems, it is particularly important that you ensure that you’ve selected a telephone that will suit the type of system you currently have, or are looking to install. If you have an analogue extension on your phone system, then you have much greater choice of phone. Internet Based Calls
Phones connected to a broadband line will need a microfilter. Remember not to connect too many phones to a line unless you use a REN booster, otherwise speed and quality of connection may be affected. IP or VoIP phones will need to be connected to a computer which runs the appropriate software or an IP extension on a phone system.
