As one of the market leaders of headsets Plantronics have always been at the fore front of new designs. Over the last few years Plantronics have introduced some very good wireless Dect headsets such as the CS60, CS70N, CS351N, and CS361N.

However what many users are finding is that they need a headset that will not only connect to a telephone, but also to a computer as well. This is where the new Plantronics Savi Office Dect wireless headset range comes in.

There are two Plantronics Savi headset models to choose between based on how the user will be wearing the headset. These are the Savi Office Convertible which has an over the ear design as well as the ability to wear with a headband, and the Savi Office over the ear version.

The Savi Office is not to be confused with the Plantronics Savi Go which is a similar Bluetooth headset for PC and mobile only.

The Savi Go is the convertible style headset and is supplied with a Bluetooth dongle to connect to a PC.

Using the Plantronics Savi Office

Connecting the Plantronics Savi Office to the telephone is very simple as it plugs into any standard headset or handset socket on a phone. To the computer is just as easy as it has a standard USB plug to quickly connect.

Obviously connecting a headset to a telephone makes it easier to take telephone calls but why connect the headset to a computer? One example is where a company is starting to take advantage of cheaper IP calls through a service such as Skype. Having the ability to connect the Savi Office to both PC and telephone gives them the flexability of both.
