Doro Business Phones That Do The Business
Truth be told, the three core (and two derivatives) models which comprise the Doro AUB corded telephone range are not up there with the iPod in the iconic touchy-feely design stakes. That’s not to say they’re unappealing but simply that the design places function over form in recognition of the role these robust business phones need to fulfil. These are no-nonsense, hardwearing workhorses whose durability is underlined by generous warranties of up to 10 years. In short they’re business phones that do the business.
Doro AUB 50 - Low Frills, High Value
Range opener, the Doro AUB 50, is a tough little cookie, low on frills but high on value. As with all models in the range it is designed for use on analogue lines or extensions (not digital) whilst its chunky keypad will make friends with the stubbiest and most impatient of fingers to minimise dialling errors. As one might expect at such a low price point the unit is not feature rich, but nonetheless provides the necessaries include a mute function, redial button, message waiting compatibility and recall facility for placing calls on hold. So, if you’re seeking a simple, low cost, long lasting phone then your search may well be over.
Doro AUB 200 - More and less
If you want a little more functionality, then trade up to the Doro AUB 200 which for a few quid more offers a headset connection, 10 number memory, three speed dial buttons and a choice of three monographic ringtones. But if you want less maintenance as well then the Doro AUB 200H EasyClean is likely to entice. The name is a give away really – if you’re in a health or hospitality environment where cleanliness is a high priority then a unit designed specifically for easy cleaning is going to catch the eye. Here touch buttons are set within a membrane keypad which is sealed into the unit so it can be sprayed and cleaned without the internal workings receiving an unwanted and damaging wash. The headset and data sockets are similarly protected whilst a magnetic rather than a traditional click hook means there are no moving parts which can be damaged when cleaning the handset’s cradle. Doro takes the clean concept one step further with the AUB 200 H+SA which incorporates the Swedish manufacturer’s patented Polygiene Antimicrobial technology. This hinders bacterial and fungal growth making it an ideal choice for healthcare and other environment where minimising the risk of infection transmission is paramount.
Doro AUB 300 - The business
The top of the range Doro AUB 300i combines the user-friendly and durable design standards common to its cousins, but with a host more features. These include a line-powered LCD display with caller ID (where supported by your analogue telecoms provider), a choice of nine monographic ring tones, on-hook dialling, 16 speed dial options and a hands-free speaker as well as headset socket. As with the 200 models the AUB 300i comes with a generous 10 year guarantee which indicates more than anything else Doro’s confidence in the robustness of its design. Easy to use, resistant to the stresses of everyday working life and blessed with a range of convenient features you could say that the 300i is irresistible or even – wait for it! - adoroble!
