Gemini Phones - All in the stars?
If you’re into astrology you’ll no doubt be aware that characteristics associated with Gemini include communicative and articulate. Hence, no doubt, why UK-based Interquartz chose the moniker for a range of business phones. It’s a shame though that star-gazers haven’t also associated tough with the sign because it’s certainly a quality that springs to mind when looking at the three models which comprise the Gemini range. Build quality is so good, including thick, high impact plastic casings as standard, that the company backs the range with a whopping six year warranty.
Gemini phones won’t fade away
Indeed durability is a constant throughout the range with each ‘phone, including the entry level Gemini Basic 9330, boasting double injected dial keys. This means that, unlike with some models at comparable price points, numbers are not printed on but moulded into the button so they won’t fade with use. All electrical contacts are also gold plated and each ‘phone comes with cunning little non-slip silicon feet to minimise the risk of you pulling them off the desk when stretching the knot-resistant handset cord.
Gemini 9330 - Touching base
The 9330 is the base model, its features - which include headset port, message waiting, hearing aid compatibility, last number redial, recall facility, ringer indicator light and volume adjust controls - being common to all three Gemini ‘phones. All can also connect not just to a standard BT telephone line but, via an RJ45 jack, to CAT5 cabling commonly used in offices or another frequently found connector, the RJ11.
Gemini 9333 - Look, no hands
Step up to the Gemini Speakerphone 9333 and, you’ll not be surprised to hear, you gain hands-free operation, handy, for example to desk workers when they occasionally want to attack a keyboard and therefore don’t want to be clinging to a receiver (headsets are better where hands-free is a more constant requirement). You also get a 10 speed dial memory and a locking mute function with LED display. Go upwards and onwards again and the Gemini CLI 9335 lets you create a generous library of 100 names and numbers plus 20 one or two touch speed dials. It also incorporates a data port so you can connect a modem or other device such as an answering or fax machine. This model is also compatible with the Centrex or BT’s FeatureLine systems which provide call switching services from the exchange rather than on your premises.
Gemini Phones - Straight talking
Gemini ‘phones are no-nonsense, do-as-they-say-on-the-tin business phones which offer rugged, hard-wearing functionality wrapped up in stylish designs, available in black or white. Value is another virtue given competitive pricing and that six year warranty which underlines anticipated longevity.
