Cobra Launches ‘Most Powerful’ Two-Way Radios

Cobra Electronics has just announced the launch of what it claims are the world’s most powerful extended range lithium ion GMRS two way radios. The new three-strong microTalk^™ range offers the industries highest capacity batteries and ranges of up to 27 miles within impressively compact designs.

Among the new models is the LI 7200 Two-Way Radio which was honoured by the Consumer Electronics Association’s panel of expert engineers, independent designers and journalists with an Innovations 2008 Design and Engineering Award. As such it was showcased at this month’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Feature-packed

The compact and stylish units are densely packed with features, including Cobra’s SCAN quick conversation location, VOX hands free function for voice-activated transmission, 10 channel memory, high, medium and low power options and no fewer than 3,124 privacy combinations.

All three sets - range opener the L I5600, LI 6700 and the LI 7200 - are being marketed in value packs comprising two radios, a desktop charger and rechargeable batteries.
